Productivity, at its best, is about removing friction, unnecessary decisions and cognitive load. — Brandon Boswell

Productivity has become a bit of a bad word of late because it has come to mean how to get more done in a day. The corporate sense of the term has overtaken the beneficial connotation. When I use the term productivity, I loosely mean: A system to efficiently achieve your goals in life and enable you to achieve things that others believe impossible or impractical. You feel confident tackling things that are off limits for others, and you can do so sustainably.

From Shawn Blanc:

Three Steps to Being More Productive:

  • Identify what you want to do.
  • Plan a time you will do it.
  • Celebrate that you followed through.

Healthy productivity is about how many chores can you put on autopilot, so that you can focus on the things you really care about
