In TickTick I had a bunch of lists and every time something came into the Inbox I had to put it into a list to get it out of the inbox. That doesn’t sound like a lot of work, but now I have to decide what category to put it into. It’s a bunch of unnecessary decisions that feels like I’m playing with my tasks instead of doing my tasks. In Akiflow the inbox is based on when you intend to do the work vs is it in a list. Now I look at the task, think about when I should do it or consider doing it and move on.
Less Metadata, more prioritization.
