Head count vs Heart count
We should all suffer a little instead of one of us suffer a lot. This in a scenario of necessary cuts to the labor pool they instead required each employee to take 4 weeks unpaid vacation. They could take it anytime and it didn’t have to be consecutive. Morale actually went up.
Leadership is a choice. Leadership is different than authority. People choose to follow great leaders other have to listen because they have authority over them.
When leaders show they are willing to sacrifice for their people then their people will choose to sacrifice for them to see their vision come to life.
