Executives at places like Amazon should be working a year plus out. The current quarter should have been baked a good bit of time ago and now just needs to be executed.
Trading a few hours of sleep to make more decisions, but at a lower quality is not a good decision in a company like Amazon, but may be more appropriate in a startup context.
