If you’re someone who needs to take meeting notes to share with other people, that is going to be a multi-step process. You’re going to need to transcribe those notes either manually by typing them or using some of the auto transcription features within the device itself. They are good but not perfect. You may want to leverage AI to clean up some of the rough edges there. From there, you’re going to need to send those to yourself either via email or by leaving your notebook and then loading up the remarkable app on your computer. From there, copy the transcribed note into whatever tool your company uses to share meeting notes. If this is your primary use case, then bringing a laptop into the meeting or using one of the many AI transcription services that have popped on the scene might be a better fit.
Where e-ink and the reMarkable in particular shine, are in areas where you would like to move a little bit more slowly, a bit more deliberately, and with greater focus.
If you are someone who is looking to this device primarily to take meeting notes, I could see the reMarkable or any other e-Ink tablet creating another step for you, or potentially getting in your way.
